Description:

New in the area, this lovely 36 ft sloop, GHOST, is a sturdy Catalina built in  1984. Almost all Catalina sailboats stand the test of time and this vessel is no exception.   This model was designed by Frank Butler (with help form Gerry Douglas)  and introduced in 1982. True to it's reputation, Catalina sailboats are considered "production boats" and sell/resell while holding their value.  this sailboat has been enjoyed (mostly day sailing) for the past 8 years by it's 3rd owner and GHOST has never been in saltwater....a real plus.  GHOST is a true keelboat with a 5'10" draft, a masthead sloop tall rig, a raked stem and a raised reverse transom making for quite the fast ride even with 15,000 lbs. of displacement!
Below deck, this Catalina offers spacious headroom with 6'3" in main cabin and a 11'11" beam.  The aft cabin can sleep 2 as a double berth under cockpit, The dining saloon table converts to a double berth and the starboard dinette table to a single, skinnier berth.  The forward stateroom or "V" berth is spacious and sleeps two comfortably.
Loads of safety equipment included as are a flatscreen TV, coffee machine, nifty compact electric oven and air conditioner if desired.  the hot and cold pressure water was added 10 years ago and functions nicely.
A new water and raw pump were put in plus a newer stereo.  The floors are in great shape as is the engine (3 cylinder Universal engine model 25) with a newer alternator.  2,200 engine hours.
As far as electronics, there is a new B & G multifunction wind/speed/depth reader, but more instrumentation will need to be added as well as a genoa.  The mainsail is in good shape for day sailing.
Positives:
The head is enormous - not typical with many sailboats, one can actually stand at the handheld shower space and not feel cramped.
The amount of storage in this boat is terrific!  You can store several PFD's, foul weather gear in addition to cocktail dresses and stilettos! One will notice immediately when below deck that none of the hatches and portholes have crazing...well done and well cared for.  the artwork is beautifully placed and adds to the below deck ambiance.  The teak cockpit table is a real jewel and will be the conversation piece of all your post race talk.  Don't let this beauty pass you up, call for an appointment now.  She is in-water at Reef Point Marina.
